Bad Romance by Lady Gaga
Before casting this off as just weird, take in the brilliant cinematic elements of this music video.
Amazing lighting, makeup, hair and costume design being displayed in this video. Now of course it’s a bit odd and the theme doesn’t really match, but that is part of the allure of Lady Gaga.
Graphics and pyrotechnic work are pretty rad as well. Lots of sex appeal being used in the video, which is fitting since Lady Gaga is supposedly the “Sex Icon” of our age.
Any ways, the editing is brilliant in this music video, there is a digital push edited in at 1:05. I’ve never seen a digital push displayed in film, that I can recollect or recall. It worked excellent in this case with the music. Usually, when I shoot, I try to attempt to keep everything in camera, and stay away from Zooms all together. But I do not have near the experience or expertise as the creative people behind this video.
If you are a film maker, music video enthusiast or just like Lady Gaga, make an honest effort to appreciate the spectacle that is above.
